We recognize that education is an important investment in a child’s future, and we want to make a Montessori education as accessible to as many children in our community as possible. We work hard to insure that our tuition rates balance the needs of our educational staff as well as those of the families in our community. While we have limited resources, we are committed to support families who struggle to meet the tuition to the best of our abilities, and we are actively seeking ways to increase the financial assistance funds. We also want to emphasize that there is no stigma associated with asking for help. Our approach to offering financial assistance is grounded in our commitment to building a strong community here at Mountain Pathways, so we are seeking to offer as much aid as we can with our limited funds.
We invite any family to apply, even if you are unsure whether you will qualify.
As outlined in our By-Laws, financial assistance decisions are made by the school Director and the Finance Committee.
All information submitted is considered to be private and confidential and will only be used to determine your eligibility for assistance.
If your family experiences a sudden and dramatic change in your financial situation during the school year, please also contact the school director as we may be able to offer help.
If your family is interested in a trade in exchange for a portion of tuition, the school can offer limited trade agreements in areas such as landscaping, building maintenance, and cleaning. Please contact the Director if this is of interest to your family.
Submit application materials to the director by May 1, 2019.
Financial Need Statement:
Please submit a letter describing your family’s individual resource circumstances and how they impact your ability to meet the tuition amount.
Please discuss the number of children you have enrolled at the school (ages/grades/length of enrollment).
Please help the Financial Aid Committee understand your commitment to Mountain Pathways.

**FOR THE 2020-2021 ACADEMIC YEAR
Most Montessori schools in NC use a third party service to help them keep parent financial information private and to help determine how to distribute resources equitably. We will research those options before the next academic year.
NORTH CAROLINA OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
We are excited to participate in the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program.
