Admissions
We practice rolling admissions during the fall semester and accept new applications year round.
The Montessori method of educating children has evolved over the last century into one of the premiere educational philosophies in the world. However, it is not intended to provide everything to every child.
The Montessori classroom is built upon personal responsibility and respect for the other individuals in the environment. Children who rise to these expectations — and whose parents take them home — typically go on to become successful, well-adjusted young adults who do not hesitate to make positive contributions to their community and world. Apply to add your child’s name to our list of potential students.
ANNOUNCEMENT: We are currently still accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year!
Application Process
To accommodate new families who are interested in applying to Mountain Pathways School. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
COMPLETE APPLICATION: The first step in the admissions process is to complete the enrollment application below. This gets your student and family into our system and allows us to contact you to arrange the subsequent steps.
SCHOOL TOUR: After you submit your application, please contact the school to schedule a tour. During this tour (for adults only) you will meet with the director, take a tour of our campus, and have any initial questions answered. Meet at the front porch of the Children’s House building at 453 Howard’s Creek Road.
FAMILY MEETING: If, after the tour, you and we feel that Mountain Pathways School and your family are a good fit, we will connect you to your child’s potential teacher(s). Your family will have the opportunity to meet with the teaching team from his/her age groups after school.
CONSIDERATION: The teaching team and administration will discuss acceptance and potential placement.
ENROLLMENT DECISION: You will either be offered a space, or we will discuss the reasons we do not feel Mountain Pathways School can meet your family’s needs.
We also maintain a significant waiting list at most times, and our spaces are at a premium. We regret that we simply may not have room for your child.
